Why these PJs are more than just sleepwear.
When I first had the idea to make pajamas, I didn’t want to create just another pair of baby sleepers. I wanted something better. Something I would feel completely confident putting on my own children—knowing that every detail, from the fabric to the stitching, had been carefully considered.
Because the truth is: when you're a parent, pajamas aren’t just pajamas. They're what your baby sleeps in, snuggles in, gets comforted in. They’re part of bedtime routines and early morning cuddles. And that matters.
It Started with Safety
The first thing I looked at was fabric. I had been buying bamboo pajamas for my own daughters—because they were so soft—and then I started researching how they were actually made. That’s when I learned about carbon disulfide, a toxic chemical used in bamboo rayon production that isn’t even tested for by most regulatory agencies.
That was the turning point. I couldn’t unknow what I knew. And I couldn’t continue to use something on my children that might leave behind chemical residues, or cause harm to workers in its production.
That’s when I found TENCEL™—a truly non-toxic, eco-conscious fabric made from eucalyptus and beechwood. It’s softer than bamboo, safer for skin, and produced in a closed-loop system that protects both people and the planet. It was everything I was looking for.
Then Came the Details
Once I had the fabric, I began obsessing over every single detail:
- The fit had to be just right—snug enough for safety, but never too tight.
- The zipper had to glide smoothly, with a protective flap to guard baby’s chin.
- The seams had to be soft and comfortable, even for sensitive skin.
- The colors had to feel calm, cozy, and timeless—not trendy or loud.
I didn’t want to rush it. I tested samples on my own daughters, washed and rewore them dozens of times, and even paused production when something didn’t feel quite right.
Why I’m Proud
These pajamas represent so much more than a product launch. They’re a reflection of the values I hold close: Safety, integrity and sustainability. They’re a love letter to every parent who’s trying to make the best choices they can, and to every little one who deserves to be wrapped in softness and care.
You won’t see new prints every week here. I’m building slowly and intentionally—because that’s what it takes to make something truly special. And I hope that when you zip your baby into these PJs, you can feel all the heart that went into them.
